Μαρία Λοϊζίδου, “Μεταβίβαση | A Transfer”

Αρχαιολογικός χώρος Κεραμεικού

Στον έντονα φορτισμένο αρχαιολογικό χώρο του Κεραμεικού επιχειρείται με ιδιαίτερο σεβασμό στο παρελθόν και το παρόν του χώρου μία εικαστική “Μεταβίβαση”.

Η έκθεση “Μεταβίβαση | A Transfer”, της Μαρίας Λοϊζίδου έχει ως αφετηρία την εικαστική και διανοητική προσέγγιση της ιστορίας και των μνημείων του συγκεκριμένου αρχαιολογικού χώρου. Ο Κεραμεικός, το σημαντικότερο νεκροταφείο της αρχαίας Αθήνας, προσφέρει στον σημερινό επισκέπτη έναν από τους ωραιότερους αρχαιολογικούς περιπάτους λόγω της συνύπαρξης -μεταξύ άλλων- εξαιρετικών δειγμάτων επιτύμβιας γλυπτικής, καθώς και γνωστών ταφικών μνημείων.

Jia, The Chinese Version / Infosphere, ZKM | Center for Art and Media

Πολιτιστική θηριωδία δεν είναι μόνο η συστηματική καταστροφή της πολιτιστικής κληρονομιάς από τον Isis· σύμφωνα με το «The Chinese Version» της Jia που παρουσιάζεται αυτές τις μέρες στο ZKM | Center for Art and Media της Καρλσρούης ως μέρος της έκθεσης Infosphere, το Πρόγραμμα Απλούστευσης (ξεκίνησε τη δεκαετία του 1950 και παραμένει δια νόμου) στη Λαϊκή Δημοκρατία της Κίνας αποτελεί μια πιο φιλόδοξη θηριωδία από αυτή που διέπραξε ο Isis με στόχο το ηλικίας άνω των 3.300 χρόνων κινεζικό σύστημα γραφής.

The photograph above shows finds from a Shipwreck near Antickythera Island, Greece, taken after the excavation and it was presented in the periodical exhibition “Antickythera Shipwreck” held at The National Archaeological Museum in Athens in 2012. This photograph was the starting point of Becky Campell’s poetic concept for Curious Artefacts, an exhibition-excavation of contemporary art objects.

The following discussion with the internationally acclaimed South African artist Kendell Geers is the result of a series of emails exchanged between him and myself during May and June of 2015.

The starting point of this correspondence were two lectures that Kendell Geers had given a year earlier, the one in April 2014 at INSERT, New Delhi, titled “Marcel Duchamp, Silent Animist” and the other in June 2014 at Luminato Festival, Canada, titled “Following the Blind Man / Marcel Duchamp and the Voodoun Connection”.

He fights capitalism from within using its symbols, means and icons in a subversive humorous way that provokes audience’s critical viewing and draws attention to the real issues and problems of our consumerist societies.

For his Hanger King project a handmade wooden grill kiosk was set up in Kamppi shopping center, Helsinki city center. The menu gave the visitor two options: a top quality local and organic Take Away menu, or a Give Away menu, which saw food redistributed to those in need.

Ο φάρος που εδρεύει στη νησίδα Δίδυμη ή Γαϊδουρονήσι κοντά στο λιμάνι της Ερμούπολης στη Σύρο είναι ο πρώτος φάρος του νεοσύστατου ελληνικού κράτους. Είναι ο πιο παλιός και ταυτόχρονα ο ψηλότερος φάρος του ελληνικού φαρικού δικτύου. Κατασκευάστηκε από τη γαλλική εταιρεία φάρων και λειτούργησε για πρώτη φορά το 1834…

The Scottish artist Daniel Mullen is currently living in Amsterdam, the city where, as he says, went to study art and rediscovered his passion for architecture.

Daniel Mullen has participated in a number of exhibitions nationally and abroad.

To Όχι τώρα Μαρσέλ, τότε, εκεί, εγώ μια άλλη είναι ο τίτλος της πτυχιακής εργασίας της Αλεξάνδρας Πετρανάκη που παρουσιάζεται από 10 έως και 12 Ιουνίου 2015 στον εκθεσιακό χώρο Νίκος Κεσσανλής της Α.Σ.Κ.Τ. στα πλαίσια της έκθεσης των πτυχιακών εργασιών των τελειόφοιτων της σχολής.

Πρόκειται για μια βίντεο-εγκατάσταση μεγάλων διαστάσεων (17x7x9m) με σαφείς αναφορές στο magnum opus του Μαρσέλ Προυστ, Αναζητώντας τον Χαμένο Χρόνο.
