Ένας νέος χώρος τέχνης εγκαινιάστηκε πρόσφατα στην Πάρο και έρχεται να προσφέρει πολλά στο φιλότεχνο νησί, στους κατοίκους και στους επισκέπτες του.
Η E Art Gallery, δημιούργημα του εικαστικού Άγγελου Χανιώτη πληροί όλες τις προϋποθέσεις για να αναδειχθεί σε ένα από τα πολιτιστικά σημεία αναφοράς του νησιού καθώς συνδυάζει την έμπειρη ματιά του εικαστικού – δημιουργού της με έναν προνομιακό χώρο χτισμένο σε ένα μοναδικό σημείο του νησιού κοντά στη Νάουσα.
Ο Άγγελος Χανιώτης συστήνει στους αναγνώστες του Ex_posure την E Art Gallery και μας παρουσιάζει την πρώτη ομαδική έκθεση που φιλοξενείται σε αυτήν με τίτλο “Warming…” .
IncarNations is the result of an encounter and stimulating collaboration with the Sindika Dokolo Collection. Under the aegis of artist-curator Kendell Geers, this project stands out for its striking singularity, while also pursuing, for the Centre for Fine Arts (BOZAR), the dialogue between traditional African Art and contemporary art.
What is African Art? Does it even exist? Or is it simply the projection of a Western concept, masking the cultural alterity of these objects? How might we renew their presentation and exhibition, while placing them within the context of contemporary Africa? All these questions are at work in IncarNations.
Sindika Dokolo and Kendell Geers have conceived a special project. Seeking to move beyond mere labels and categories, IncarNations constitutes a search, if not a quest, an attempt to develop an African perspective, both by resending centre stage to the primal spiritual dimension of the works of art and by instigating their dialogue with contemporary creations. To this end, they call upon the fascinating exploration and exposition of Léopold Sédar Senghor’s thought as analyzed by the Senegalese philosopher Souleymane Bachir Diagne, defining African Art as a veritable philosophy.

Από τις 30 Ιουνίου μέχρι και τις 22 Σεπτεμβρίου, το Μουσείο Σύγχρονης Τέχνης του Ιδρύματος Βασίλη και Ελίζας Γουλανδρή στην Άνδρο παρουσιάζει ένα αναδρομικό αφιέρωμα στον Ντίκο Βυζάντιο. Ένας οφειλόμενος φόρος μνήμης στον διακεκριμένο ζωγράφο της διασποράς, ο οποίος επί μισό και πλέον αιώνα διέπρεψε στο εικαστικό καλλιτεχνικό προσκήνιο του Παρισιού.
Γιος του ζωγράφου Περικλή Βυζάντιου, ανατράφηκε σ’ένα οικογενειακό περιβάλλον το οποίο επηρέασε ποικιλοτρόπως (τις μετέπειτα επιλογές του) τους πνευματικούς και καλλιτεχνικούς του προσανατολισμούς. Σε ηλικία 16 ετών έγινε δεκτός στην ΑΣΚΤ.
Τον Δεκέμβριο του 1945, αναγκάστηκε στον εκπατρισμό προκειμένου να αποφύγει την δύνη του αδελφοκτόνου εμφυλιακού διχασμού. Ήταν ο νεότερος μεταξύ των διακοσίων Ελλήνων επιβατών του θρυλικού μεταγωγικού Ματαρόα που οι δυο φιλέλληνες του Γαλλικού Ινστιτούτου Αθηνών Octave Merlier και Roger Milliex με υποτροφία της γαλλικής κυβέρνησης του άνοιξαν τον δρόμο προς την ελευθερία της σκέψης.
…κάπου αλλού…: Ομαδική έκθεση σύγχρονης τέχνης στο φεστιβάλ Μελιτζάzz Λεωνιδίου.
Στο πλαίσιο του Φεστιβάλ Μελιτζάzz 2019 o Πύργος Τσικαλιώτη, χτισμένος στο Λεωνίδιο το 1808, φιλοξενεί την ομαδική έκθεση έργων σύγχρονων καλλιτεχνών με τίτλο …κάπου αλλού… σε επιμέλεια του Δρ. Στρατή Πανταζή, με έργα τα οποία δημιουργήθηκαν για τον συγκεκριμένο χώρο.
Τα εγκαίνια της έκθεσης θα πραγματοποιηθούν την Πέμπτη 4 Ιουλίου 2019 και ώρα 21:00.
Ο τίτλος του φετινού φεστιβάλ είναι MELITZAZZ 2019 BITTERSWEET και το θέμα του επικεντρώνεται στο γλυκόπικρο συναίσθημα που αφήνει ο αποχαιρετισμός και ο αποχωρισμός και που συντηρεί η ελπίδα της επιστροφής και της αντάμωσης. Στην ιστορία του Λεωνιδίου άνθρωποι έχουν βιώσει τον αποχωρισμό αφήνοντας πίσω τη ζωή τους, τον τόπο τους και τα αγαπημένα τους πρόσωπα να τους νοσταλγούν. Μετανάστευση, εμπόριο, πόλεμος, παντρειά, θάνατος αλλά και επιστροφή, αντάμωση, γέννηση είναι λόγοι που πλέκονται γύρω από το γλυκόπικρο συναίσθημα της ζωής. Λαμβάνοντας υπόψη την ιστορία και τον ρόλο του πύργου Τσικαλιώτη αλλά και των υπόλοιπων πυργόσπιτων και αρχοντικών της περιοχής, γίνεται εμφανές ότι η έννοια του αποχωρισμού είναι αδιάρρηκτα συνδεδεμένη με αυτόν. Μέσω της τρέχουσας έκθεσης …κάπου αλλού… διευρύνονται οι καλλιτεχνικοί προβληματισμοί, γεφυρώνοντας το χθες με το σήμερα.
The industrial building on 18-20 Iera Odos currently used as a music venue, is situated within the geographical region of the ancient cemetery of Kerameikos (1100 BC – AD 500). Nine metres below the surface of the modern city and tons of backfills, excavations since 1863 have brought to light parts of inner Kerameikos (potters’ and residential quarters) and outer Kerameikos (cemetery and the Demósion Sema public graveyard).
The area of the exhibition building lies nine metres above the funerary monuments of prominent Athenians. It is located right above the ancient Hiera Hodos (Sacred Way) linking Athens with Eleusis where the Eleusinian Mysteries took place; on the west bank of the Eridanos river; west of the Dromos, a wide road leading the way to the Platonic Academy and the –later– Christian orthodox church of the Holy Trinity. It is all being now overshadowed by today’s Peiraios roadway and the adjacent buildings of the last century.
The exhibition will negotiate notions with clear references to antiquity yet liberated from an obsessive fixation on the ancient world. It will take into consideration every single metre of evolution and will speculate on all of the possible nine metres of history that will follow.
What may lie nine metres below our feet without us being able to discover it, could equate to a future reality nine metres above. The surfacing of a utopian condition brings forth the imaginary, but at the same time it flirts as a connection link with the idea of passage and transition. A dialogue emerges between realities and it is activated through a crack in spacetime, a crevice that [inter]connects the worlds in one breath.
The transformation of the urban habitat through literal and metaphorical backfills embodies ideas of [dis]semblance, voidance, disdain, corrosion of memory and the empowerment of an [inter]personal mythology and fiction as well as the fabrication of an in-progress identity. The repertoire of an everchanging political, religious and cultural condition is inscribed not only within the historical continuity of this locus but also within a flux of a conscious construction, deconstruction and conflict.
The choreography of the contemporary urban landscape redefines the architecture of life itself. It gives birth to a taxonomy of possibilities with human existence and its hypostasis as the protagonists, undergoing a constant battle with time and their very own selves.
Curator dr Kostas Prapoglou invites 16 contemporary artists from three generations to establish via their cross-disciplinary visual vocabulary (embracing installations, video, sculpture, painting and ceramics) a site and time specific relationship. They will discover in the ground and above the concrete floor themselves as well as the entire world and empower the viewers’ desire to dig with their eyes and build with their dreams.

Ραντεβού το Σεπτέμβριο, στην καρδιά της Αθήνας, δίνει η Art Athina 2019 με το φιλότεχνο κοινό. To μεγαλύτερο ετήσιο εικαστικό γεγονός στην Ελλάδα που έχει αναδειχθεί σε θεσμό θα πραγματοποιηθεί από τις 13 έως τις 16 Σεπτεμβρίου 2019 στο Ζάππειον Μέγαρο υπό την Αιγίδα της Α.Ε. του Προέδρου της Δημοκρατίας κυρίου Προκοπίου Παυλοπούλου.
Παρούσα όμως θα είναι και το καλοκαίρι η έκθεση που καταγράφει τον εικαστικό παλμό, συστήνοντας στους φίλους της τέχνης το Art Athina Summer Pop Up: μια διεθνή καλοκαιρινή έκθεση στην καρδιά της πόλης που λειτουργεί ως προάγγελος της φθινοπωρινής Αrt Athina 2019.
Στο κτίριο επί της οδού Αιόλου 48-50 και μέσα στους άδειους χώρους γραφείων, γκαλερί από την Ελλάδα, τη Βρετανία, τις Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες, τη Σουηδία και την Αυστρία, θα προϊδεάσουν τους επισκέπτες για την φουάρ του Σεπτεμβρίου παρουσιάζοντας από έναν καλλιτέχνη. Συνολικά στο Art Athina Summer Pop Up συμμετέχουν 34 ελληνικές γκαλερί και έξι από το εξωτερικό.

Στο διεθνές πρόγραμμα του Art Athina Summer Pop Up οι γκαλερί Edel Assanti από το Λονδίνο και η γκαλερί Anat Ebgi από το Los Angeles συμμετέχουν με δύο ατομικές παρουσιάσεις των ζωγράφων Dale Lewis και Neil Raitt αντιστοίχως. Οι καλλιτέχνες έμειναν για ένα μήνα στην Αθήνα δουλεύοντας σε εργαστήρια που παραχωρήθηκαν στο πλαίσιο συνέργειας της Art Athina με τον Δήμο Αθηναίων και το Athens Culture Net, εμπνεύστηκαν από την πόλη και δημιούργησαν εδώ τα έργα που θα εκτεθούν στο Art Athina Summer Pop Up. Η Loyal Gallery που έρχεται από τη Στοκχόλμη παρουσιάζει δημιουργίες του Jim Thorell, η Soft Opening από το Λονδίνο θα δείξει έργα των Alix Vernet και Ryan Driscoll. Η εκ Βιέννης ορμώμενη Sophie Tappeiner μας συστήνει την φωτογράφο Sophie Thun (με την υποστήριξη της Αυστριακής Πρεσβείας) και τον γλύπτη Sydney Shen. H Zeller Van Almsick, τέλος, επίσης από την αυστριακή πρωτεύουσα παρουσιάζει τη δουλειά του Jonny Niesche.
Η μετάθεση των ημερομηνιών και η αλλαγή διεξαγωγής χώρου της κεντρικής έκθεσης της Art Athina 2019 κρίθηκε επιβεβλημένη από την οργανωτική ομάδα για δύο λόγους. Πρώτον λόγω της προκήρυξης εθνικών εκλογών και δεύτερον διότι παρά τις αγαθές προθέσεις και τις προσπάθειες της ηγεσίας του Υπουργείου Πολιτισμού η διαδικασία παραχώρησης του Ακροπόλ Παλάς, το οποίο σχεδιαζόταν να εγκαινιαστεί με την Art Athina 2019, αποδείχθηκε εξαιρετικά γραφειοκρατική και χρονοβόρα.
Η 24η Αrt Athina 2019 διοργανώνεται από τον Πανελλήνιο Σύνδεσμο Αιθουσών Τέχνης και υλοποιείται με χρηματοδότηση από το Περιφερειακό Επιχειρησιακό Πρόγραμμα “Αττική” 2014-2020.

Λίγες μόνο ώρες απομένουν για τα εγκαίνια μιας έκθεσης σημαντικής για τη Θεσσαλονίκη και το Μακεδονικό Μουσείο Σύγχρονης Τέχνης. Μιας έκθεσης-αφιέρωμα στον Αλέξανδρο Ιόλα με τίτλο «Αλέξανδρος Ιόλας: Η κληρονομιά».
Τριάντα χρόνια μετά τον θάνατο του μαικήνα της τέχνης η πόλη την οποία αγάπησε και στην οποία δώρισε 47 έργα από τη συλλογή του έρχεται έμπρακτα ως ένδειξη σεβασμού να προβάλει την αξία και το μέγεθος της προσφοράς του στην τέχνη και τους καλλιτέχνες σε διεθνές επίπεδο αλλά και να φωτίσει την πολυδιάστατη χαρισματική προσωπικότητά του.

INTO NATURE: OUT OF DARKNESS
Into Nature: out of Darkness is a biennial art route laid out in the ancient landscape of Drenthe showing works by eminent international artists. After the celebrated first edition of 2016 situated in the north of Drenthe, Into Nature returns in 2018. From 1 July to 16 September, visitors discover works by Adrián Villar Rojas, Heather & Ivan Morison, Olafur Eliasson and others set in the landscape of the southwest of the province.
This summer’s theme is ‘Into Nature: Out of Darkness’. Works of art set in various types of landscape, where humankind has been looking for its place in nature for thousands of years. The route starts on one of the darkest places in the Netherlands: the Holtingerveld. Another starting location is Frederiksoord, in the middle of the Koloniën van Weldadigheid (nominated for the UNESCO World Heritage List). The Huis van Weldadigheid, the Sterrenbos and the former Tuinbouwschool – where nature has taken root since it was closed – have been made available as exhibition spaces especially for Into Nature.
The team of curators led by Hans den Hartog Jager has succeeded in attracting an international mix of twenty renowned artists. Argentinian sculptor Adrián Villar recreated dozens of nests of the Hornero, a South-American songbird were placed in the Drenthe landscape. British artist duo Heather & Ivan Morison created an installation that can be booked as a place to stay the night for exhibition visitors. Iceland’s Olafur Eliasson made his mark in this upcoming edition with his radiant work of light art. HerInto Nature: Out of Darkness is an exciting art route that you simply cannot afford to miss. Hervé Youmbi created a dialogue between African funeral monuments, Aloalo, and a Neolithic Hunebed.

From Thursday, June 21th until Sunday, June 24th Art Athina will be welcoming the visitors in the two basements of the Athens Conservatoire. The art fair will be inaugurated by the President of the Greek Republic, Prokopios Pavlopoulos on Wednesday June 20th, a day exclusively reserved for the previews.
This year’s Art Athina hosts 53 local and international galleries.
The program of the 23d Art Athina is organized as follows:
Main: The central section of the exhibition spreads in the two main spaces of the Athens Conservatoire, where local and international galleries present their booths.
Highlights: Young international galleries join Art Athina upon the invitation of the Artistic Director, Stamatia Dimitrakopoulos. The galleries hosted this year come from London, Porto, Athens, Paris, Antwerp, Los Angeles, Cologne and New York.
